We received an email recently here at moreClaremore that was pretty interesting. It turns out that there’s a guy right here in town named Bill Meade.
He’s been around for a while, and he draws portraits of random people he sees.
Mr. Meade has been doing this for more than 20 years. Usually, his subjects are spotted at a restaurant, and a napkin makes a handy canvas.
Sandi, the woman who emailed us, attached a drawing of her that Mr. Meade drew in 1994.
It turns out that even moreClaremore’s Travis has a Meade original, of his son and nephews, also from Braum’s. It seems that Mr. Meade likes ice cream.

Could be Hayley Elisabeth. We were eating in A Tulsa restaurant and he came up and gave me the one of you he drew. It’s spot on!

Mr. Bill Meade comes to our Friendship Feast at First Christian Church and has honored many of us with his portraits! He also plays a mean harmonica!
I have one of these he did of me when I was probably around nine at the claremore county fair! It’s in my photo album at my grandmas! So neat!!
I have the original of one he did of myself and 3 other girls working McDonald’s in 1997.

I have a drawing! He sketched Kathy. Dell and me while we were in the waiting room at Claremore Hospital. Dad was having a heart cath procedure , probably around 2006.
Yes!! Mr Meade has drawn a few pictures of my family over the years.in braums,a couple of times,and taco bueno too! One of my husband,myself,and our two daughters.one each of our two daughters when they were little.I love them!!!! Mr Meade is very talented,and kind man.
Tina Clagg here is one of them. He is always so creative!
I sold him his house back in the 80s or 90s. he told me that he designed service stations for Phillips 66 back in the day. Quite the artist.
He made me one from when I worked at Mazzios 🙂

I have one somewhere that he drew of me when I was working at Atwoods! He used to come in all the time and draw them of the cashiers. 🙂
He did one of my daughter back in the early 90s. I will try to find it.
