Hillcrest Hospital in Claremore became the sixth corporate sponsor of the Partners in Education program Monday morning, February 8th. The announcement took place during a special “Rise and Shine” morning ceremony at Stuart Roosa Elementary School.
Hillcrest joins AXH Air-coolers, BancFirst, Pelco Structural, RCB Bank, and Rogers State University to continue the lineup of support for the local school district.
Monetary donations from Hillcrest will assist teachers with new classroom supplies, and other items that enrich the learning experience. Future plans include hosting a health fair for students. According to Stuart Roosa Principal Glen Abshere, the prospects of this new relationship are exciting and crucial to increasing the quality of education for Roosa students.
Claremore’s Partners in Education program is a joint effort between the Claremore Industrial and Economic Development Authority and Claremore Public Schools. The program connects students and teachers with corporate and civic leaders. These partnerships help educators improve the academic and personal growth of all children.
The mission of the partnership is to unite business and the community with schools for the common goal of increasing the quality of education for all students in Claremore Public School while involving the community in the development of its own economic future.
