Rogers State University’s commencement ceremony has been scheduled for Saturday, May 7, at the Claremore Expo Center.
The associate degree ceremony will be held at 10 a.m., while the master’s and bachelor’s degree ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. This will be the inaugural class of master’s degree candidates from RSU’s Master of Business Administration program.
The university will be allotting five tickets for the master’s and bachelor’s degree commencement ceremony to all qualified graduates. RSU uses a ticketing system for the master’s and bachelor’s degree ceremony to provide fair and equal access for guests attending the event, which has experienced capacity crowds in recent years.
Tickets will not be required for the associate degree commencement ceremony or the nurses’ pinning ceremony, which will be held separately.
The ticket distribution for the bachelor’s degree ceremony will begin at the Commencement Countdown event, which will be held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, March 24 in the Centennial Center Conference Rooms B & C upstairs.
This come-and-go event is designed to provide associate, bachelor’s, and master’s degree candidates the opportunity to purchase commencement supplies, including cap and gown, invitations and more. Various campus departments and vendors will be on hand to share relevant information with graduates.
For students unable to attend Commencement Countdown, the ticket distribution will start on March 25 at Meyer Hall on Monday-Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Each graduate may receive up to six commencement tickets. Students will need their RSU student ID to claim their ticket allotment.
For students for whom it is not convenient to come to the Claremore campus, please contact Cindy Delossantos at CDelossantos@rsu.edu or call 918-343-6866.
The tickets, which are free, provide admission to the Claremore Expo Center for family and friends attending the master’s and bachelor’s degree ceremony. Participating graduates will not require a ticket. Children two years old and under who will sit on their parent’s lap also do not require tickets.
Students will have until April 15 to claim their allotment before unclaimed tickets are redistributed among students needing additional seats. Students who would like additional tickets beyond the initial six-ticket allocation can submit an online request from March 25 through April 15.
The unclaimed master’s and bachelor’s degree ceremony tickets will become available beginning Monday, April 25 through Friday, May 6.
The university will provide a live online stream of both commencement ceremonies for those unable to attend in person.
