We told you before about DonorsChoose.org, which is a website that allows teachers to raise funds for specific classroom projects. We found this one by Mrs. Camber, a PreK teacher at Claremont Elementary. Read on to learn how you can help!
Flexible Seating Needed for PreK Movers
We are a Title I school and have very little funding! My classroom is, for most, the first educational environment they encounter. These pre-kindergarten babies are so sweet and very eager to learn. They are brand new to our school system and along with some parents, my classroom and relationship will be a first for them. My students have multiple opportunities to explore and discover new ideas and experiences in my classroom. I want to provide a unique and flexible classroom for my students to come!
My Project
Up until this year I have only worked with tables and chairs in my classroom. I have noticed the amount of students that have the need for more room and movement during centers at the tables. I have given them the option of standing, but after researching ideas and other PreK teacher’s experiences with flexible Seating and how it has helped their students focus better, I am wanting to bring more seating options into my classroom. With completing this project, I will have floor seating, exercise balls, and bar stools to add to my center tables. This will give every student a better opportunity to focus on their learning!
