When i first saw this photo, I only thought of how much toner my legs should be after all the stinkin’ time I put in each week KILLING them at the gym.
Never mind the fact that I just walked through Lowe’s holding my cutie-pie preschooler’s hand, carrying a 2x10x10 board over my shoulder like a boss.
That’s what your mind will do to you – it’ll remind you of all the ways you’re “failing” or not “good enough” or not “matching” with the rest of the world.
Don’t listen. Really, don’t do it.
Here’s what I want you to do. Pick the thing you’re GOOD at —> the thing you wake up each day and kick in the face. Write it down. Take a picture. Tell someone. Do WhaTeVeR you have to do to remind yourself YOU ARE ENOUGH.
I don’t care if it’s as simple as making your bed.
That matters.
Then, make a note of something you want to improve on. IMPROVEMENT is a good thing. It is making something that’s good even better. Focus on what you’re good at and just get better and better.
Never stop getting better.
I’m going to go home, throw that wood over my shoulders and my kids are going to freak out.
They’ll never notice my legs.
