CPSF Celebrates Claremore Teachers with Back-to-School Breakfast

The Claremore Public Schools Foundation welcomed back the Claremore Public Schools teachers and staff in grand fashion last Monday.

The teacher breakfast has become a proud tradition and a positive start for all the CPS staff. CPSF partners greet the teachers bright and early with free giveaways such as pads of paper, lunchboxes, calendars, pencils, and koozies.

Upon entering the high school cafeteria, they form a line for a breakfast of Whataburger Honey Chicken Biscuits and taquitos, fresh fruit, breakfast casserole, muffins, SheBrews coffee, and tea from 6:19 and Atlas Nutrition.

At the event, TTCU made a donation of $3,000 to Claremore Public Schools generated from its school pride card promotion.

The Teachers of the Year from each school site were recognized and received a gift from the Foundation and a $75 gift card from RCB Bank. Vona Cardwell received special recognition as Claremore’s District Teacher of the Year.

Michelle Rahn is a finalist for State Teacher of the Year and was honored along with the site teachers of the year.

In addition to the gift cards listed above, RCB Bank had multiple drawings for gift cards and gave away over $2,000!

“Celebrating our teachers is one of the most important parts of the role of the foundation,” remarked CPSF trustee Travis Peck.

The Foundation gives grants to individual teachers and to school sites, administers the Bluejacket Memorial Scholarship, provides special programs that enhance the learning process and creates community awareness for Claremore Public Schools.

As a private, non-profit organization, the CPSF depends on the contributions of individuals and corporate donors to fund its programs. Our donors do not just impact the children of Claremore, but also the entire community by providing a better future for all of its citizens.

CPSF would like to say a special thank you to our CPSF partners — Whataburger, TTCU, Bill and Phyllis Snyder, Spectrum Paint, Smalygo Auto Wholesale, Rogers County Abstract, Robson Properties, Steve and Pam Robinson, Rescue Heat and Air, Red Crown Credit Union, RCB Bank, The Print Shop, Nees Realty, Jack Kissee Ford, ImageNet Consulting, Hillcrest Hospital – Claremore, Highfill Properties, Cherokee Nation, CF Industries, BancFirst, Advanced Orthopedics of Oklahoma – Dr. Steve Hardage — for helping make this event possible and building on this wonderful tradition!
