Local Groups Work Together to Give Claremore Man a New Home

Habitat for Humanity has been very active in Claremore this year. They’ve had a couple of new builds, and cleaned up three more houses for deserving residents.

The most recent home that’s under construction had some extra generous donors!

This year’s Leadership Rogers County class chose Habitat to be the recipient of its service project. They typically raise about $5000 each year, and that’s the cost of the home’s foundation. This year’s class went above and beyond and raised $7000 for the project!

The Rogers County Builders Association also pitched in on this home in a big way, paying $3800 for the framing, which was done by Tim Whorton and Whorton Construction.

Habitat for Humanity is a terrific organization, and it’s awesome to see so many pitching in to help. If you are looking to volunteer in some capacity, please contact claremorehabitat@gmail.com.

Keep it local, Claremore!
