Calling all gospel singers & pickers! Shepherd’s Cross is hosting its annual Gospel Singing & Dessert Social on Saturday, June 13th, from 1p – 4p. Gospel, country Christian, worship and hymns will be enjoyed inside, downstairs at the Tour Barn. All, individuals, families or church groups are invited to come to listen or participate.
We need volunteer musicians to bring your instruments, your voice and your favorite songs. We can pick, sing and play together – like the good old days! Those who register in advance are given priority on the roster that fills quickly. However, we will admit walk-ins as time allows.
Bring a potluck dessert to share, or share some of ours.
Our farm and tour barn will be open for business as usual. Visitors may tour the educational & interactive Farm Museum and Silo. Partake in a Bible Garden Tour either guided or self-guided. You may even participate in our monthly “Spin-n-Knit-In” where individuals bring and work on their wool projects such as spinning, knitting etc.
Shepherd’s Shop will be open, featuring a host of “woolly” and farm related handmade gifts made by Shepherd’s Cross and over 50 local crafters; Amish jams, health foods, yarns, and much more! Additionally the shop features a mission section; purchases made in this section of the store return 100% of the sale price to the indigenous people that made them. Also available for purchase is farm fresh, Animal Welfare Approved, pasture raised, free range, chemical free American lamb; yarn, yarn, & more yarn – natural, chemical free, many types, produced and processed on the farm. Shepherd’s Cross also offers roving, batts, felting supplies, spinning and weaving supplies and much more.
