Spring RoCo Fit Covid-19 Edition will launch April 8th. Registration is open thru their website at www.rocofit.org.
How does the RoCo C19 Edition look?
Runners and walkers will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays 6 PM at the Leadership Shelter at Claremore Lake. RoCo Fit is open to participants in good health 13 years and older.
This session will not have the traditional pace groups or circle back form. Mentors will not be leading or sweeping participants. A suggested workout schedule will be provided.
Participants will be required to properly wear a mask and asked to maintain 6’ distance from others not in their own household at all times. If you are feeling unwell, or have been exposed to Covid or the flu, please do not participate.
Participants will give their name to designated volunteers to check in each night. Once they are checked in, participants are free to go complete the scheduled workout. Participants will need to bring their own water and timing device. This session will be scheduled for 10 weeks. There will not be a 5K goal or event.
Experienced past participants can volunteer to go with beginners as they feel comfortable to provide guidance and encouragement. Please keep this help to three or less to keep the park comfortable to everyone.
There are a limited number of shirts left. They will be given out as attendees reach 70% participation. They will be on a first come, first choice basis and sizes are available until they run out. This shirt design can no longer be reproduced as the artwork was created for use only by the Rogers County Health Department.
Everyone has unique circumstances that dictate their own comfort level of participation. Volunteers are needed to assist with check in each night and to go as Beginner Partners as requested. You can volunteer for specific tasks.
This program is no longer organized by the Health Department. If you need more information, please email getfit@rocofit.org. This program is run entirely by volunteers.
