On Monday, April 6, Claremore City Council voted to repeal a citywide mask and social distancing ordinance to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.
- After presenting data showing a steady decline in COVID-related hospitalizations and infection rates and an increase in the rate of Rogers County vaccinations, the Council voted to repeal (effective immediately) the citywide ordinance requiring face coverings and social distancing.
- Repealing the citywide ordinance does not supersede mask requirements of area businesses. Businesses may still require face coverings to be worn according to the standards established by individual owners.
