Hillcats Wrap Up Day Two At NCAA National Championship

Rogers State women’s golf wrapped up competition on the second day of the NCAA Division II National Championship on Wednesday.

After 18 holes at the Par 72, 6,004 yard Chattahoochee Golf Club, the Hillcats sit in 15th after turning in a card of 618 (+42) over the two rounds.

Marelda Ayal leads the team in a group of seven tied at 17th after shooting 148 (+4). Jessica Green sits in a group of six tied at 39th with a card of 152 (+8). Kristin Gudmundsdottir sits in a large group of 10 tied at 65th with a 157 (+13). Lydia Sitorus sits in a three-way tie for 89th with a 162 (+18). Jaelynn Unger rounds out the group in a four-way tie for 92nd after shooting 163 (+19).

The Hillcats will finish up the final round of stroke play tomorrow, and needed to improve their position with only the top eight teams advancing to medal match play. The first group is set to tee off at 8:20 a.m. with the remaining four groups following in 10-minute intervals.
