RSU Announces Women’s Golf Schedule

After making the program’s second-straight appearance in the NCAA Division II Women’s Golf National Championship, Rogers State Head Women’s Golf Coach Whitney Hocutt announced the schedule for the 2022-23 campaign on Tuesday.

“I am looking forward to getting this year started,” said Hocutt. “We return a great group of young ladies and are adding only one freshman to our roster. There is no doubt that we have some great events scheduled and will be playing in some events that we were invited to due to our merit that will prepare us for the opportunity of postseason play. This whole year we will see a majority of in-region competition, but also some cross-region competition which will only benefit us and our program. As always, we love to see fans at our home events, the Tulsa Cup in the Fall and the Hillcat Classic in the Spring. We could not be more appreciative of our supporters.”

The Hillcats will kick off the Fall season with five events beginning at the 2022 NSU Women’s Classic on September 12-13 in Tahlequah, Okla. They will then compete in the FHSU Tiger Classic on September 26-27 in Hays, Kan. On Oct 2-3, they will travel to Destin, Fla. to compete in the 2022 Golfweek Division II Fall Classic. On Oct. 9-10, RSU will compete in the NCAA Division II Preview in Eureka, Mo. The Hillcats will close out the Fall slate by hosting The Tulsa Cup on Oct. 24-25 in Tulsa, Okla.

The Spring campaign will also consist of five events beginning on Feb. 20-21 at the Southern Invite in Cypress, Texas. RSU will host the Eighth Annual Hillcat Classic on March 13-14 in Owasso, Okla. The Hillcats will travel to Tyler, Texas on March 20-21 to compete in the 2023 King-Alfred Spring Invitational. On April 3-4, the Hillcats will compete in the Newman Spring Invitational in Newton, Kan. They will close out the regular season at the Virginia Laas Invitational on April 10-11 in Joplin, Mo.
