It’s Time for “Christmas at the Movies!”
The Claremore Area Chamber of Commerce will host a traditional Christmas parade on Saturday, December 3, at 6:00 p.m. in downtown Claremore.
The theme for this year’s parade is “Christmas at the Movies.” Whether your group chooses to represent a holiday classic, or add a Christmas twist to any movie, this theme allows for plenty of fun and creativity. Christmas lights are required on all entries. The Chamber will be giving away cash prizes for the following categories: Best Use of Decorated Lights, Best Use of Parade Theme, and Christmas Spirit Award.
Applications are due now for entries, but it’s not too late! Registration can be completed online at Claremore.org under the Events tab, or by contacting the Chamber directly at 918-341-2818. Deadline for entries is November 29, 2022.
This year, Share the Spirit, which provides holiday meals for Rogers County families in need, will play an important role in the parade. They will be pushing shopping carts along the route, collecting canned goods from attendees. Please bring some canned items to help make their important mission a success!
The parade route will begin near Will Rogers Blvd. and Florence Ave., with lineup starting outside First Baptist Church Claremore. The parade will travel west on Will Rogers Blvd. and end at the Claremore Indian Hospital. Churches, business, civic organizations, car clubs, and more are invited to participate.
