Since implementing the Community Food Pantry program last November at the Rogers County Sheriff’s Office, there has been a great response in keeping the cabinets well stocked with non-perishable food products and personal hygiene items. However, with local schools out for the summer, families on vacations, and other seasonal community obligations, the shelves are getting a little bare. You can help by simply dropping by the front entrance to the detention facility, and personally placing some donated items into the two cabinets, which are accessible 24 hours a day, 365 days a year! Please share this information with your friends, workplace colleagues, and church, youth, community service, and similar groups and organizations. In order to maintain the Food Pantry Partnership, groups are needed to hold donation events and assign their members to bring those items to our cabinets and personally restock the shelves. It’s a wonderful project that has consistently helped unfortunate families. Take it upon yourself today to enlist the support of your church class, civic organization, sports team, or other group, to share the compassion, which has always been a priority for those of us residing in this special County – Rogers County!
