We’ve all been watching The Cornerstone take shape over the past several months. Two of the retail spaces have opened for business. First, Dr. Brett Murray’s Reset Chiropractic and now, JH Nail Spa.
JH Nail Spa opened for business on Wednesday and offered free pedicures to the first 30 clients. The shop was abuzz with excited patrons. The nail spa is large and inviting and CLEAN. The staff was friendly and experienced.
Owner Joseph Nguyen moved to the United States from Vietnam when he was 13 years old. He spent time living in Ohio, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C. As an adult, he learned to be an automotive mechanic, which he did successfully for 18 years. He decided it was time for a change, so he got involved in the beauty business.
He worked for a nail spa in Owasso for four years, during which he met his wife, Holly, co-owner of JH Nail Spa. Together, they’ve opened their first shop together in Claremore. The Nguyens live here in town with their young son.
For manicures, JH Nail Spa offers full sets and maintenance, monomer and polymer, colors, gel, shellac, and dipping. A regular manicure is just $15, with prices ranging up to $45 for a full set of solar nails with shellac.
There are several pedicure options available. A basic pedicure is $25 and can be expanded to a spa pedicure for $35, or even a noble pedicure at the high end for $65. Or you can bring your favorite little girl in to sit in the butterfly chairs and get treated like royalty with a $20 princess pedicure!
Waxing is also on the nail spa menu, with everything from eyebrows to lips to bikini. Facials are also available starting at $60.
JH Nail Spa is located at 609 S. Brady in The Cornerstone, which is just west of the Claremore Rec Center. Hours are 10a – 7p Monday through Saturday, and 12p – 5p on Sunday. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are encouraged; if you schedule a Monday – Thursday appointment between now and March, you’ll also receive a 20% discount on any spa service.
