The Rogers State University Foundation has announced a giving week to coincide with homecoming and celebrate the 20th anniversary of the university’s accreditation as a bachelor-awarding institution. Giving week will take place Feb. 10-15, 2020. In celebration of the accreditation anniversary the campaign has been themed “Giving Week: 20 for 20” with a goal of raising $20,000 in scholarship donations to benefit students at each of RSU’s three campuses in Bartlesville, Claremore, and Pryor.
“Giving week presents an annual opportunity for alumni and friends of RSU to provide critical funds for students and programs,” Steve Valencia, vice president for development, said. “We also want to use our giving week as an opportunity to invite first-time donors to make a gift to RSU. All gifts, large or small, make a positive impact and we are especially excited at the prospect of seeing young alumni give back for the first time.”
Supporters of RSU looking to make a year-end gift in advance of giving week are encouraged to contribute on #GivingTuesday. #GivingTuesday is a global initiative that occurs annually the first Tuesday following Thanksgiving. The movement brings together the powerful combination of everyday givers and local organizations.
