Take the Census, Folks!

It’s Census time, and we are aiming to get the highest response rate we can to the 2020 Census. (Information gathered from the Census helps improve our communities, based on response. It takes just a few minutes, so please do it! You’re stuck at home anyway.)

The Census happens once every 10 years, as required by the Constitution, and it counts every person who lives in the United States. It determines how much money in federal resources supports schools, roads and transportation, and healthcare in our community. It also determines our legislative districts and the number of seats Oklahoma gets in the House of Representatives.

The self-response rate in Rogers County as of March 31 is 37.2%.

The self-response rate in Claremore as of March 31 is 35.2%.

Oklahoma’s self-response rate is 32.5%, and the national rate is 36.2%.

You can respond to the Census in three ways: online at https://my2020census.govby phone, by calling 1-844-330-2020, (1-844-468-2020 en Español), or by mail, if you received a packet.

You can use the code you received in the mail to respond, or you can just type in your address.
