James Keither Cody passed away on Wednesday, October 12th, 2022 at the age of 79.
The son of Jack and Doris Canoy Cody was born July 25th, 1943 in Alligator, Mississippi. As a young boy, he spent his time in the Mississippi delta, but at the age of 13, Jim moved to live with his grandparents in Shivers. There he would attend high school, where he would excel at basketball. He graduated as a member of the Pinola High School class of 1959. It was also in Pinola that he first met Patricia Ann Kent while on a local hayride. The two began dating and married on July 31, 1959. The newly wed couple decided to stay in Pinola, where Jim was working as a school bus driver
