Bobby Joe Tummons, 78, of Inola, OK passed away at his home on December 12, 2022 after a brief illness.
He was born on June 7, 1944 in Claremore, OK to Troy and Nellie Marie Tummons.
He worked as a welder for Lee C. Moore Company in Tulsa for many years and was a member and past president of his local Iron Workers Union. After retiring from welding, he decided to try something new and bought a donut shop in Fort Gibson. He ran the shop successfully for a number of years before selling and completely retiring from work.
Bobby was an avid fisherman and passionate about planting his vegetable garden each Spring.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jim Tummons; niece, Nancy Roberts.
He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Tummons of Claremore, OK; a nephew, Ken Tummons (Carol) of Arlington, TX; a niece, Peggy (Bobby) Harrison of Claremore, OK; also, numerous other relatives and friends.
A graveside of remembrance service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, December 19, 2022 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Claremore, OK. with Rev. Rio Taylor officiating.
