Oklahoma First Lady Visits Claremore

The Claremore Area Chamber of Commerce hosted Oklahoma’s First Lady, Sarah Stitt, at a luncheon at Northeast Tech. The event was presented by Safenet Services, with a delicious lunch from The Pink House sponsored by Baker Hughes. (ALL THE BAKED FUDGE!)

Mrs. Stitt addressed the 100 attendees about her childhood experiences, which have resulted in choosing her “impact” on Oklahomans (instead of a ‘platform’), which focuses on mental health and childhood trauma. Her foundation, Hope Rising Oklahoma, has a mission to “empower people, families and communities to better their lives through the science of hope.” She also told some adorably amusing stories about what it’s like being the wife of a governor while being a mother to six children. Also, she had plenty of nice things to say about Claremore!
